Before we get to the sources for free smartphone software here a little guide on how to install the applications on your own cell phone at first. If you're already an experienced smartphone user (or think you are) you can just skip this.
So after you have downloaded one of the smartphone games or programs you will now have to connect your smartphone with your computer, either via ActiveSync or by using bluetooth. After that you'll have to look at the file of the smartphone software you just downloaded because depending on the type of the file there are different ways to install it.
If you got an .exe file you can probably just start it on your computer by double clicking on it (while your phone is connected) and the installation process that looks similar to installing something on your Computer will start itself and guide you through the installation. Sometimes however you will have to copy the .exe file of the free smartphone application to your smartphone and execute it directly from there, either by using your phones file explorer or by creating a shortcut to the program file in your "Home" folder. If the free smartphone software consisted of a .cab file you will have to copy it to your smartphone as well. When you start it there by using the explorer again the phone will attempt to install the program itself afterwards.
